The whole entry and customs process into the United Kingdom will be greatly expedited when you keep in mind that there are three entry and customs “channels” that you will encounter at a United Kingdom airport.
If you are traveling to the United Kingdom from another EU country, you may enter the Blue Channel for a speedy passage.
If you are traveling from a non EU country, get into the Green Channel, for the fastest passage when you have nothing to declare.
If you have goods that outnumber the duty free allowance, enter the Red Channel.
