Tipping in Spain
One question any traveller to Spain always asks is “should they tip for meals and drinks?”
Although you don’t have to, the choice is down to you.
Unlike Canada or the US where tipping is common, Spain and most of Europe are different.
If you do wish to tip when in Spain, the most common places are restaurants, taxis, hotels and bars. Be careful of tipping at a bar in Spain, though, since it will go to the owner as opposed to the staff. If you do wish to tip while in Spain, a good average is between 5-10% of the bill.
