Spain Currency
Up until 2002, the currency in Spain was the peseta. Then Spain adopted the Euro as its main monetary form, and this is the currency it uses today. For those travelling into Spain, there are many options available to convert your country’s money into Euros. If you use an ATM, you can withdraw directly from your bank, though at a cost. Using your credit card in Spain will allow you to convert directly to Euros. Another way is using traveller’s checks, although again it can be costly if changing them at a local bank in Spain.
