Travel to Portugal by Air
Traveling to Portugal by plane is the most common way, as the country is surrounded mostly by water.
You can travel to Portugal via most major airlines, as well as some smaller carriers such as Aer Lingus.
One can travel into the major cities Lisbon, Porto, or Faro and then make their way in and around Portugal via train or bus.
Travel by plane to the islands of Madeira and Azores is also possible, with both having international airports.
Note that competitive airfares can oftentimes make traveling to Portugal with smaller airlines more economical, particularly if from within Europe.
