Tea

In the land of wine and espresso that is Italy, tea is also comparably not a very popular or, at least not a very hyped up, choice of beverage.
However, contrary to popular belief, tea is often served at many establishments in Italy – it’s just that it is not talked about that much.
But also, tea is gaining some popularity – or some more attention – in Italy as well.
Tea rooms and tea clubs have been springing up here and there, especially in Florence and Rome.
One well-known tearoom in Rome is Babington’s, located in the heart of the city and which undoubtedly visitors who travel to Italy will have discovered for themselves.
In the 1930s, tearooms have disappeared as the Italian passion for coffee took a hold. But now, a small but palpable renaissance is becoming apparent.
