Travel to Ireland by Air
For international travel, there are four airports to fly into Ireland: Dublin (DUB), Shannon (SNN), Cork (ORK), and Ireland West, Knock (NOC).
Travel by plane is common, given that Ireland is an island, but bear in mind that many travel to Ireland from nearby countries such as France of the United Kingdom using ferry boat, train or bus.
Those who travel into Ireland from certain countries, including citizens of the EU and EEA countries, do not require a visa to visit.
For travel into the cities from the airports, take either a taxi or bus.
Direct rail service is not an option and renting a car in-town will prove more economical.
