Greece Currency

Greece is now a member of the European Union and in 2002 Greece officially welcomed their Euro currency, it was formally known as the Drachma.
The Euro symbol is € = 100 cents.
The are bank notes of 500, 200, 100, 50, 20, 10, 5 euros as well as coins of 2.00, 1.00, 0.50, 0.20, 0.10, 0.05, 0.02, 0.01 cents.
The Euro makes life a lot easier in Greece and a little cheaper.
The Euro is widely accepted it can be obtained by exchanging foreign currencies to Euro at exchange centres and banks all over Greece.
