Berlin Restaurants

Eating

In Berlin there are over 12,000 restaurants making the city a cultural and culinary mixture. Restaurants’ quality is really good and usually many people make reservations before, but it is not mandatory.
The most crowded restaurants are Turkish and Italian, although there are also many Mexican, French and Chinese restaurants.
All prices must include VAT by law. The upmarket restaurants may ask for a further service surcharge.
Note that it is best to ask if credit cards are accepted before you sit down. It's not that common to accept credit cards in some parts of the city. Most likely to be accepted are Visa and Mastercard, all other cards will be only accepted in some upmarket restaurants.
