France Travel Documents
If you’re planning to travel in France, either as a tourist or simply to get to another part of Europe, you need certain paperwork.
You should have some form of an official travel document or a passport that is good for at least 3 months past the valid date of the visa for France.
There are 3 types of Visas that may be obtained for travel to France:
- a short visit up to 30 days;
- a short visit visa from 31 to 90 days;
- a visa for over 90 day visits.
In order to obtain a valid travel documents you should also have:
- a photograph that is passport size;
- a completed and signed application form;
- a proof that you have the money to pay for your length stay in France;
- something showing that you have a definite return ticket from France;
- students must have a letter from their school proving attendance;
- a proof of your reservation or where you are staying in France.
