Regulations for Pets in France
In order for people traveling into France to bring in pets from the United States they must go by a few conditions.
- There is a limit of 5 animals per family in France and each animal has to be at least 3 months of age or travel with their mother.
- Each animal entering France must have either a tattoo or microchip for identification. If the chip is other than the standard chip then you will need to bring a scanner to read it.
- Each animal must be up to date with their rabies vaccination. If the pet was recently vaccinated then you must wait at least 30 days prior to bringing the pet to France.
- If you are traveling to France from somewhere other than the USA or Canada then you will need to bring a signed Health Certificate from a veterinarian.
