Austria has a long history of coffee drinking and tea drinking; however, coffee drinking seems to hold more national popularity in Austria.
That’s not to say that tea drinking isn’t popular in Austria, but coffee is practically worshipped. Cafes in Vienna are notorious for their variety of coffee drinks.
In Austria, a double coffee is known as großer Schwarzer, coffee with milk is called großer Brauner, and cappucino is called Melange.
